About goals and roads leading to them ..

Poem after a long time: ******************************** The game I was in Is not mine any more Every one moves on I remain at same score Watching from the fence I wait for my chance Beats echoing all around I restrain from the dance Chaos all around Yet I remain in lull Colors which were bright Seems hollow and dull Time O... Time Why don't you belt fast? When will this era end? How can this zealot remain aghast? This sluggish movement Is driving me crazy A smile I flaunt Though the heart remains hazy...

Shantaram : Revisted

Few lines from SHANTARAM ... About Love... "The ancient Sanskrit legends speak of destined love,a Karmik connection between souls that are fated to meet and collide and enrapture one another. The legends say that the loved one is instantly recognized because she is loved in every gesture, every expression of thought, every movement, every sound, and every mood that prays in her mind. The legends say that we know her by her wings - the wings that only we can see - and because wanting her kills every other desire of love". "The same legends also carry warnings that such fated love may, sometimes, be the possession and the obsession of one, and the only one, of the two souls twinned by destiny. But the wisdom, in one sense is opposite of love. love survives in us precisely because it isn't wise". About India... "The simple and astonishing truth about India and Indian people is that when you go there, and deal with them, your heart always guide more wise

Buridan's ass

American political cartoon, circa 1900, on the debate over whether to build a canal through Panama or Nicaragua. The deliberations of Congress (choosing between a Panama canal route or a Nicaragua canal route, with allusion to Buridan's ass ). ETYMOLOGY: Named after French philosopher Jean Buridan (1300-1358). NOTES: Imagine a hungry donkey standing equidistant from two identical piles of hay. The donkey tries to decide which pile he should eat first and finding no reason to choose one over another, starves to death. This paradox didn't originate with Buridan -- it's been found back in Aristotle's time. A hungry and thirsty man cannot deci

Rebirth of an Insomnaic ...

July 2004 ( Vikas Sharma,Prateek Srivastava,Rahul Verma,Nirupam..... ) I was not as happy as I was that day ( getting Mining in NIT Rkl was not a reason, at least not at that time ) since I got my IIT,AIEEE results.Everything seemed devastated and going to NIT Rourkela was just a way to escape from monotonicity of mental tension. Just came from college and directly went to common room to see whether TT table was occupied or not.Thankfully it was occupied, occupied by my friends only( coz it was almost impossible to find that table unoccupied)..threw notebooks on chair nearby (In the same manner as a Guy would throw his clothes before going to bed with a pretty girl )... and asked one of the player " are yaar de na..bas 10 min.. "... He pointed towards the opponent and said " are yaar main to abhi aaya hun .. wo pichale 1 ghante se khel raha hain ..usase le na.." .. i swiftly moved towards other one and asked.. he said... "1 game bas.. sirf ek ... sirf ek ... &q
